Just barely off the beaten path, worth the stay!

This place is a little older and could use some updates, but overall I think they are doing very will with what they have. Everything seems clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's just 1 block off the main drag with all of the very high priced hotels and Clearwater beach. Infact some of the local beach access parking is just to the side and behind this hotel. It is definitely worth the price and I would stay again if I am ever in the area.

Don't judge the book too soon

So we booked our room prior to arriving and at first glance when we pulled up, our thoughts were "is it too late to cancel?", but get inside the gate before you judge!! The owners have taken alot of time to make it look like a tropical lagoon which is very cute, and the room was very nice!! Small like any motel, but you can tell they put alot of effect into the small things like touched up paint, no holes in the wall, and nice bedding! Nicer then some the Hiltons I've stay in!!!

Ett väldigt mysigt och hemtrevligt motel. Nära till starnden, poolområde ligger nära väg men endast lite trafik. ACn för tyvärr mycket liv, ett ständigt surrande.

Hyggeligt Motel!

Hyggeligt lille Motel med rigtig god stemning. Beliggenheden er meget central og tæt på alt. Personalet var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Helt klart værd at vende tilbage til.

Amber Tides

This is a gem in the middle of a concrete jungle leading to the beach. The old school feel with palm trees and 2 pools. The owner gave me a hug when I checked out.

It's ok, but not great.

Based on previous reviews and what must have been outdated pictures we expected it to be nicer than it was. The room was clean, but having a group of people spend most of the night outside your room smoking and spraying some kind of perfume for hours and it then being drawn in to the room by the AC unit really disappointed us. It seemed like it was a really nice place at one time but not so much anymore.

Wonderful place!

We absolutely love this place. It has a special charm that other places lack and the managers Ulli and Michelle make you feel welcome and at home here. Its a little piece of Old Florida that unfortunately is disappearing. The luxury high-rise hotels just don't have the same feel. When we come to Clearwater, this is the place we go. We highly recommend it!

Clean, inexpensive motel with a GREAT location!

Wonderful location only two blocks from the beach. We spent a long weekend at Amber Tides and everything we wanted to do from beaching, paddle boarding and amazing food and drink was walkable. We got the King room and if I was staying there any longer I likely would have gotten something bigger or with a kitchen because it was pretty cramped but that just meant we got out and enjoyed the area that much more. We spent 3 nights and they didn't clean the room while we were there but they did provide us with fresh towels and toiletries when we asked. It was also very clean when we first checked in! They had beach chairs that you could take to the beach with you! That was really nice since we flew in and only had beach towels. If you're looking to save some $$$ on your accommodations I'd definitely recommend this place. If you're looking for luxury, look somewhere else!

Nice 60s throw back.

Quaint, older motel that will remind you of childhood. Places are small but clean and functional. Grounds are tropical, with two pools, and plenty of chaises and chairs to lounge in. Place is ran by a laid back couple who provided excellent service. Reminded me of staying with friends near the beach vise luxury.

Very nice older Florida hotel

A very nice older Florida hotel two blocks from beach. Owner was great and upgraded us to a larger efficiency room with two db beds, kitchen facilities at the same rate, with one of two pools outside our door. Would stay their again. Landscaping was excellent with many palm trees and flowering plants all over. Free parking was provided right outside our room.

Hidden Jewel

This place is truly a gem. It has everything you need for a stay at the beach. Great location, plenty of space to be outside with wonderful foliage. The rooms are well maintained and very comfortable. I will definitely revisit! If you are looking for a five star place to stay, this isn't it, but if you want convenience, quiet and friendly, you've found it.

Petit motel sympathique. Vieux et typique d'un petit hôtel cubain mais très propre. Nous avons l'impression que tout a été recyclé et avons adoré ce cliché dans un milieu comme Clearwater beach qui semble plutôt guindé. Très belle plage avec beaucoup de monde. Lors d'une belle journée il vous faut absolument aller à Caladesi Island en ferry pour y passer une journée; plage absolument fantastique et digne des belles plage cubaine. Merci aux propriétaires du motel Amber Tides que nous n'avons pu remercier dû à notre départ tôt le matin.

Nice little hotel in Clearwater

The hotel was clean, and staff very friendly. It is an outdated Mom and Pop hotel, located off the main strip in Clearwater. The exterior of the building was in need of updating also, but the stay was quiet and relaxing.

Old School Motel but NICE

Exactly what we needed for the Championship Game. We were traveling with another couple to the game and searched a while for something we could afford, since all the money went on the tickets. It's your basic old school motel, but the bed was comfortable, since we own a mattress business, we are mattress snobs. Bathroom was very dated, which I knew that by the pictures, but everything worked!!! Small kitchen with a nice refrigerator. I just looked at the rates for another week and was so glad they didn't go up on the prices like everything in Tampa did, that got my respect. So from one ALABAMA Fan (me) and 3 Clemson Fans we highly recommend this place for the no thrills, but comfortable stay, that you can afford close to the beach.
