Everything was wonderful! Very clean and everyone was so helpful. We chose to have dinner on site. Great views and delicious. Perfect ending to our day. Pup was the added bonus.

The place is nice, clan and very comfortable with great variety for a buffet breakfast in the morning. Location is absolutely beautiful with many amazing hikes and points of interest short driving distance away. The only downside of the location is probably the fact that there aren’t too many dinner options, and they are expensive. We were there off season in February , it may be different in the summer.

Absolutely loved our stay there. The room was lovely, staff was very welcoming and helpful, food was amazing at dinner and breakfast included was also very nice!

Really quaint place that is easily accessible to all the wonders of the peninsula. The staff were exquisitely nice and the location was hard to beat. What we loved about it was that we wanted an understated place that’s away from the hustle bustle. Most of Iceland is like this in the less tourist areas but this took us to a whole different level of peace and tranquility. Really loved supporting this family-owned business and its amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Can’t wait to come back!

Kast hits the mark
Excellent stay at Kast. Efficient, friendly checkin/out, exceedingly clean room with everything I needed and nothing I didn’t. For a solo stay Kast struck the balance between simple comfort and value. Dinner again, was a simple but well - executed menu. Plus Kast sits in an amazing locale. I would return and with my family next time.

I liked the surrounding area which is beautiful. The room is spacious and clean. However, the sink in the bathroom is too small with a ridiculous faucet. There was also no hair dryer. It was not as great as some reviews said.

We had the best breakfast at this hotel during our entire Iceland trip. My kids were very impressed. The beddings were clean and have high quality. They provide dinner too if you order ahead of time. Definitely would stay here again.

Most off-the-beaten-path place we stayed. Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, down the road from the most lovely in-home restaurant called Lysuholl (connected to a working horse farm). Horses everywhere, so expect midges to be out in the summer, but that’s just how it is. Don’t skip out on Snaefellnas peninsula - one of our favorite spots along the Ring Road!

After a stressful day (got a puncture in our car tyre), it was great to turn up and be able to wander down to the hot tubs at Lysulaugar for a soak, and then come back for an awesome dinner. Friendly, efficient staff made us most welcome.

The options in this area felt somewhat limited. We didn’t know what to expect with this place, but it was simple and beautiful and a perfect launching point for a gorgeous day on the peninsula. Beautiful horses and gorgeous views await you. No complaints. Would stay here again the next time visiting the area.

Room is small; in summer it is bright outside and the room does not have sufficient shade; there is strong wind but there is no sufficient sound insulation so it’s noisy.

I loved staying here, the beds were super comfortable and clean. The view here is beautiful and very close to the Snæfellsjökull National Park. The staff were very helpful and friendly, overall a great place to stay.

Good spot for a stop in your journey
Nice spot in a remote area. I booked kind of late so options were limited. This place was reasonably priced. The bed was very comfortable. The shower temperature knob was broken so I could only get very hot water unless I held it in place. Sufficient dinner options. I witnessed quite a few other guests complaining but for reasons I didn’t think were warranted (and no they weren’t American lol).

The property itself is great but it’s very remote (an hour drive into the peninsula). It was clean and I loved the heated towel rack in the bathroom.

Delightful!
Just off the highway, this home away from home was very convenient. We were having cold and rainy weather; the heated floors felt amazing (and helped to dry out clothes!). Dinner and breakfast offered a good variety and was delicious.

Great property and perfectly located for us. Property was exactly as described. Room & beds were comfortable. Everything was super clean , bathroom even had surprising treat with heated floors . Staff was very accommodating. I was getting in later than expected but desk made sure someone would be there so I could check in . Coffee and breakfast was just what we needed after a late night arrival .
