Scrupulously Clean

Lovely B&B, scrupulously clean, fresh bed linen smelled fantastic, better than luxury hotels I’ve stayed in. Lovely owners who have been in the business for years and it shows. Furniture not to my taste but I’m sure it’s a hit with our US friends ‘over the pond’ who visit often going by their visitor book.

Great welcome from Fraser. Room was clean, spacious and well provided. As I was on an early business appointment, I requested breakfast at an ungodly hour. Maggie cooked a perfect English breakfast. Having been offered so called “English breakfast” around Europe and North America I can recommend her cooking as being amongst the best example of what a true English breakfast should be. My thanks to her for that

The location is delightful; old buildings around the farm (now largely converted into self-catering accommodation), a pond, donkeys and a flock of sheep. Not easy to find without an OS Explorer map (and Satnav may try to send you down a cart-track which it chooses to call 'Ward Road'). The owner is very welcoming and friendly, breakfasts are great, and whilst the rooms have a 'dated' feel there is nothing wrong with that; indeed, it sits well with the rural location.

Country Escape

Last minute getaway to the countryside and am thrill to find this B+B gem to get away from the busy city life. Room are clean and comfortable beds.Scrumptious breakfast. Lovely peaceful surroundings and country walks.Lots to do around the area. Highly recommended and we will be back. Thank you Margaret and Frazer.
