Nice relaxing surroundings but disappointed when we booked for breakfast it we were charge saying it was not included and on further investigations booking still includes breakfast for the price we paid and believes me

Really nice place. No fuss check in and a nice wee box of home made biscotti on arrival. Fresh milk outside the bedroom door for that early morning reviver. Very busy at night which is always a good sign. Food was ok to good, service excellent and the lunchtime homemade fish finger sandwich hit the spot after a long drive.

Good pub with good rooms.

Bigger than it looks pub with rooms. Pub was very busy with a good vibe, lots of people enjoying themselves. We had dinner and the food was very good (also big portions). Breakfast good as well. Room was clean and comfortable. We overlooked the kitchen extractor fans but they were switch off once the kitchen closed that night. It is an old building so you don't get aircon etc, but that was part of it charm. Staff very friendly as well.

Really lovely hotel with friendly staff. We stayed in room 2, which was beautiful and had everything we needed, including fresh milk delivered outside our door in a cooler for a morning cuppa. Breakfast was delicious and really filling. Unfortunately, there were a cons. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable because the mattress was either worn out or just very very soft. Neither of us slept well and I woke up with aches and pains in my shoulders (I'm only 34). The other downside was that it sounded like we were directly above the bar. This meant that there was no chance of any peace until the pub had closed. If we had known, we would have asked for a room higher up in the building.

Amazing selection of craft beers and superb food both dinner and breakfast! Also, there was a pretty good run route through the church yard and round the lanes!

Mediocre

Room was fairly basic but clean, we ate there in the evening with friends but they didn’t enjoy their food - steak was overdone and onion rings were raw. Restaurant service wasn’t great we had to chase for drinks and eventually the bill Shower has to run for ages before it came warm and in the morning the water was only just warm enough to shower Sadly woken early due to noises downstairs Breakfast service was wonderful lady couldn’t do enough for us and her energy was infectious

A very welcome break on our journey from Edinburgh

We stayed for one night - on arrival we were warmly greeted and showed to our room, water and milk offered and a table in the restaurant booked for dinner. Our food was delicious and the service excellent from smiling staff. We would certainly recommend to friends and happily stay on another occasion.

I have stayed a few times now. Hardly slept due to the heat even tho there was a fan in the room. It wouldn’t stop me from staying again.
