I was under the impression that the property had undergone an extensive renovation, but that was not the case. Interestingly, there was no elevator to take up to our room. Glad we were only on the 2nd floor. The food in the restaurant was good.

They (Toftreees) overbooked us so they moved us from Toftrees to another hotel. The other hotel they moved us to was ok but had the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. It had a big divot in the middle of the bed that rolled you into it so we both woke up with really sore backs and not much sleep. I paid for a hotel at a golf resort and got one that was in the middle of everything. Completely different than what I was after. I’m glad they did find us somewhere else that wasn’t a far way away but not overbooking or at least compensating those that you booted out in some way should have happened. For the few minutes I was at Toftrees, the people seemed nice but they gave late check-ins and that seemed to be a large issue with many that were trying to get into their rooms as the lines were getting longer as time went on.
