"After checking in and going to our room, one of the single beds was broken and sloping. I asked for a different room or if they could fix/change the bed. I was offered another room, but the double bad was even more at an angle!! We decided to stay in the original room we were offered. In the evening we didn't have any hot water (and the hook for the shower was broken, so we had to hold it while showering). I told the reception staff who advised us to run the hot water tap at the sink for a while. We did this for 10/15 minutes, but it was still cold. The receptionist offered us a room so we could shower. Overall, it wasn't a great experience - limited free parking which was full when we arrived so had to park and pay elsewhere, no hot water, broken shower holder, dirty bed sheets. Positives - good location, friendly staff"

"The location was good, right by shopping centre, with a regular bus that runs to both Margate and Ramsgate. The room was quite basic, the beds were hard and lumpy with pillows as uncomfortable too. I barely slept the first night. There was also a lot of mould, especially in the bathroom, and basics like a hairdryer was missing, as was the information to call reception about the missing hairdryer. I ended up popping across the road to reception to ask for one, which did arrive about 30 minutes later. I paid for the breakfast, and in hindsight would have left it and gone to one of the many places over the road. The avocado and poached egg on toast was quite disappointing with a cheap sliced bread with processed avocado. Purchasing ahead reduced the cost, I'd have been really disappointed if I'd paid full price. The second day I ordered the pancakes which were much better. The staff were lovely though, and all very helpful. Can't fault the people who worked there."

"We stayed here and were unfortunately very unhappy the hotel was so loud people were running round the corridors screaming and shouting throughout the night till the early hours we barely slept and had an early wake up at 5 to get the eurotunnel so we felt like we barely slept, it was like being at an 18-30s hotel Also there were not enough towels in the room I had to go down and ask for more and the room felt like it hadn’t been cleaned properly there was so much dirt and dust on the fan we used due to how hot the weather was"

"Stay d one night and had booked two room. Was not offered to have connected rooms. Even though had received several email trying to up sale th booking. The food on site I feel was very over priced so we had food delivered for the four of us that cost 50% less then eating on site. Rooms have no sound proofing at all was kept awake till the early hours by the neighbouring room."

"Excellent hotel slightly let down by the bathroom. Overall very nice- great decor, comfy beds, A/c, excellent pillows. But the bathroom radiator couldn’t be turned off even though it was 30 degrees outside, there was nowhere to put anything down (no shelf etc) and the shower water was hard to get to maintain a good temperature. I’d still stay there again though. It really was very nice."

"We were warned that the hotel was being refurbished . The main reception was already completed and looked lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On the second morning of our stay they had a coach load of people arrive and were short of staff for breakfast. Consequently quite a lot of the buffet was unavailable but they did apologise and it was hardly their fault if staff were off sick. Overall we had a good time."
