Holiday Inn Express & Suites South - Lincoln by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast was great--as always at Holiday Inn Express. The room was spacious. The pool was nice. My only complaint is that the elevator has a really loud buzz/beep at each floor, but what can you do? The hotel was great."
"The rooms were up to date and appeared nice. Everything else (outside, hallways and entrance) was either nasty or under construction (for years it seems).
The outside of the hotel has spare parts, grills, beer bottles and junk everywhere. They would benefit greatly from building a shed to keep all of their junk and spare parts in.
We came back from a rainstorm and the 6 foot radius on the inside of our room around our door was flooded. I told the desk assistant and they said they are aware of it. This place didn’t seem to have that many guests, and There are so many rooms they could have put us in. So with that in mind, either all of the rooms are leaking or they just didn’t care to put us in a room that didn’t leak.
The breakfast was basically non-existent. They had very little food and the food they did have seemed to be leftovers from the day before and the orange juice dispenser seemed to be moldy.
This hotel has so much potential but they just seem to not care. Under the right direction this hotel could go from a 2 star to a 4 star with ease but I do not foresee this happening."
"We had minimal options as we needed to have our pet with us and for the price we weren’t expecting much. The beds are hard but the bedding and towels were clean. The rooms overall not so much. Dust so thick it was fuzzy on the lamp/shelf between the two beds. Lots of stains on carpet and furniture. No peep hole on the door. Side entrance lock was broken so anyone can come in and out. I mention this because this side goes out to the parking lot where all the construction workers party in the evening. The hallways are filthy. We came in contact with one staff member and she was pleasant."
"The entire main areaa of the motel smelled like a men’s locker room. The sheets and blankets were worn and scratchy and the pillows were very old and flat"
"First they have an excellent General
Manager (Quanetta Campbell).
All of the employees of the hotel seem to function as a team!
The housekeepers, the kitchen staff, and the desk clerks are so accommodating.
My room was spotless.
I had my little dog with me and the hotel is very pet friendly.
I will be staying there again soon."
