"You get what you pay for is so true. We were in town for a night and just needed a quick stay. Yet wanted to have a lake view. You can see the lake, but there is a big building blocking most of it. They have really tried to update and have been doing an ok job for the most part. We booked the presidential suite because it was only $159 and had a "lake view." The room was newly remodeled. The kitchenette was minimal but more than enough. The bedroom had a very comfy bed with a great dressing area. The bathroom had all updated amenities with a great shower. Unfortunately that is where the good ends. The shower was dirty. The old electric outlets in the bath are poorly covered. There were dirty dishes in the kitchen cabinet. The couch and chairs provided in the living area were awful. We didnt even put bags on them, let alone sit on them. That said, I never felt like there were bugs and it was clean enough for a night. Again, at $159, in a popular area like St Joe, you get what you pay for. The staff and parking were great and its a central location to all the shopping and restaurants. Everything is walkable."
