Close to train (1 stop from city central), and bus stop, also Airport bus stopped right outside hotel. Good sized room, comfy beds. Temperature in room too warm. Not able to be lowered.

Hotel staff pleasant, but hotel a bit dog eared. Rooms acceptable but nothing special. Wifi worked well bathroom was however very poorly designed with nowhere to put shaving cream razor or toileteries. Like many Scandinavian hotels the bathroom was a wetroom, but the floor was flat, so when you used the shower it flooded the toilet and sink area and took hours to dry off. Shower itself was also pretty pathetic.That said , for Stockholm it was very reasonably priced

Average rooms and breakfast, but a great location.
We stayed here for 5 nights on a family holiday (with 2 young kids) during August. The hotel is within an old brewery, which makes for a very strange shape and bizarre internals. The room we got was large, but sparse with virtually no furniture and huge open space in the middle. Having seen some of the other rooms, ours seem one of the more dated. Despite the size of the room, the bathroom was very cramped and the shower would spray everywhere. The breakfast buffet overall was very poor, with a limited selection and generally average dishes. Having been around Europe for 3 weeks, this was easily the worst buffet breakfast we had on our trip (contrary to many reviews we read about the hotel). Unfortunately the hotel also constantly smelt of fish, as I believe they served this regularly in the ground floor restaurant to large tour groups. One the plus side however was the location. The surrounding area has a great selection of bars and really nice restaurants to choose from. Its also easily walkable, and doesn't take long to reach Gamla Stan by each walking, subway or bus. There is a really good playground nearby too if you have young kids. If we came to Stockholm again ( I hope we do, its an awesome city), we would be hard pressed to stay here again, despite decent location.

Lovely hotel in very good location. Quiet rooms - but careful of the construction work on the other side of the road (they start early). Good breakfast spread. Huge windows that opened wide (it was 28°C a few days while I was there so this was important) and a great shower. Having a kettle in the room made a big difference to how at home I felt.

Great hotel easily accessible from the airport. Close to public transit routes. WiFi signal strength and speed was excellent. Clean room and good quality breakfast. The hotel also serves dinner which is very good. Note that I do not believe the rooms have air conditioning but this did not bother me during my stay. The bathroom could use more hooks to hang things and more surface area to place toiletries. Overall great stay, I would come again.

Amazing breakfast buffet
The afternoon/evening staff was especially excellent. Great, extensive breakfast is included. Our standard two bed room was small and not very well ventilated but clean and sufficient.

We liked the high ceilings in our room and the fine breakfast. It was a little disappointing that our checkin was delayed by two hours. Also, although the skylight in our “deluxe room” was big, there was no view.

Good for a night or two. Downtown not close.
A very run down room and the night staff was new and not very pleasant due to stress etc. Checked in late, after midnight and I asked for a later check out. Was eventually granted but the cleaning staff knocked at the door around 10:00 am first time and then a second time around 11:00. Sleep obviously disturbed as they had not got the information about later check out.

Lovely
Great hotel with character and charm. As often in Swedish hotels, stylish and contemporary. Nice breakfast! We could hear the family next door talking and getting ready which woke us up, but that could have been a noisy family?

Comfortable stay
beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The room was good, but basic - there was no tea or coffee making facilities. There was a tuck shop where you can buy soft drinks, snacks etc - but as you would expect in a hotel, more expensive than a shop.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The shower badly needed bleach used on the floor of the shower recess as it was very dirty. I reported that the water didn’t drain properly in the shower but the problem was not fixed in my four night stay.

Good basic hotel for a quick business trip
Quick check in and out with friendly English speaking staff. Generally a nice hotel at a god price. Very large but basic room but that may be Scandinavian standard ? Comfortable bed, decent shower and wifi - that's all I needed for this quick business trip. Window blind didn't fit the full width of the window so daylight came in and woke me at 5.30am but I drifted back off. Room was clean with basic toiletries supplied but others could be purchased from the hotel in house store or go to the Lidle which is about a minutes walk up the street Basic but well presented breakfast No creamer/milk in the room so could only have black tea/coffee

Location from airport bus was great. Bar was nice. Pleasant staff. Could be better if they took cash at the bar, if they offered brewed decaf coffee st breakfast and mostly they need to clean the mould from inside the bathrooms and ceilings.

Good hotel close to area we wanted to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable if a little sparsely furnished. It was only just warm enough despite the radiator being on maximum. It was never more than lukewarm but kept the room just about warm enough. If the outside temperature was much lower then I'm not sure the heating would be adequate. Breakfast was fine and offered a good choice of food. Other food was disappointing and expensive. We spent about £24 a head for a vegetarian burger and glass of house wine which did seem over the top for what it was and compared to meals taken in other restaurants. Over all, quite a nice hotel with very friendly staff but (apart from breakfast ) I wouldn't choose to eat or drink there as too expensive and little choice.

Our One and Only Choice Hotel in Stockholm
Aside from the usual friendly staff at check-in, clean rooms and lobby, and amazing breakfast that was included which we feasted on every morning of our stay, First Hotel Norrtull really stands by their motto printed on their key card holder: your second home is FIRST. On our last scheduled date in Stockholm, we had experienced a mishap on our outing, causing us to delay our further travel plans and a lot of stress and anxiety. My husband went down to Front Desk in the middle of the night and spoke with Alfi, whom not only provided us guidance as to how we could proceed with our travels, but his consolation was heartfelt and his assurance made it possible for us to immediately bounce back the next day with solutions to continue traveling throughout Europe. We were expecting a package to arrive during our stay but postal was delayed and the hotel received it after we had left. Sofie, the Front Desk Manager, was able to safely keep our package and returned to us in a timely manner and immaculate communication throughout the process. We cannot be more grateful and pleased with the staff for accommodating us they way they have. If we ever return to Stockholm, this will be our one and only choice hotel.

Interesting hotel but short on amenities
I stayed at this hotel on a combined business/pleasure trip with my husband. We had a large (especially for Stockholm) room with a comfortable bed, but few room amenities - no in-room phone, few towels (and they were small), no hand lotion or tissues, etc. Breakfast buffet was fairly good, but there was no variation in it at all during the seven days we were there, and we had planned to eat breakfast there every day. Staff were generally quite helpful in printing boarding passes, ordering taxis, giving directions, and the like. Nice little restaurant/bar area and outside tables where you could sit in good weather. Overall, we had a nice stay. One note - the bathroom had about a one and half inch "lip/ledge" at its entrance that I nearly tripped over several times - from my perspective it was a bit of a safety hazard.
