"We ended up staying in three different rooms. The first room had an issue with the toilet and the young man at the front desk asked if we had unpacked. When I said no he immediately moved us to a different room. That room was right next to the elevator, but we didn’t hear a single sound from it all night!! The bathroom was wonderful with a marble shower, wonderful smelling body wash, and even matching body lotion. The water pressure was divine and the water got almost lava hot, just how I prefer. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and had an iron and board that worked very well. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs (scrambled one day omelets the next) bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles (with a lot of topping choices) bagels, muffins, toast and pastries. The juice was cold, the coffee hot. There was tea and hot chocolate and multiple kinds of creamer.
We checked out but got stuck when there were too many accidents on Donner pass, so we came back. The next room we got was just as good as the previous one and breakfast was again beyond my expectations.
The only time we heard other guests was when they were talking loudly right in front of our door, even though there were people in the rooms next to us. We will be staying here again in a couple weeks and I can’t wait."
"Everything overall was very good. Staff were attentive and helpful. I really enjoyed the "grab and go" breakfast. That is because I'm not really a true breakfast eater, it gave me a meal I could eat at "my" time.
The room was clean and orderly, lots of storage. The AC unit wasn't too loud and kept us comfortable. Bathroom was also very well kept. Tub was somewhat slippery, and had no hand holds. Might be something to think about for us "older" occupants. We were aware and did fine. I like that they had a "working" microwave and refrigerator.
My wife had an issue with the "conditioner" pump in the bath. We let the staff know.
Again, overall the stay was great."
"The hotel is lovely and the room was clean. The water has a moldy scent to it which is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. Everything else was wonderful."
