"We had no idea how many social problems there were in Thetford. All of this marked our stay from being attacked by vicious loose dogs to loud drunks in the high street. Our room needed new windows but was otherwise adequate. If they are all like then a serious programme of investment is needed. Bar food was mostly nice and easy. Frequently though it was unstaffed as the kitchen is miles away. Why not give service to a KP and use walkie-talkies? Dog treats appreciated. We wanted to go to the church but found it was long closed down and to cap it off we found a dead swan which i reported. Sadly we will never return to Thetford."

"We booked a standard room and were given a disabled room which was right next to reception. It was therefore quite loud and there was minimal soundproofing. There was also patio furniture outside the window so we had noise from both sides. The wet room bathroom was pretty nasty. We showered after using the pool after checking in which meant the whole floor was wet and the bath mat was soaked through. There wasn’t a squeegee or anything to get rid of the water. We hoped it would drain but….it did not. The floor just remained wet for the rest of our stay. Wet feet anytime you needed to go into the bathroom which was really icky. No flip flops or slippers available. The ad said toiletries were included - this is actually only shower gel and hand wash, so I couldn’t wash my hair properly after using the pool. The room wasn’t that clean also - in need of a good dust. There was a dead spider on the window ledge that looked like it had been there for a while. We were only staying for 1 night fortunately, but any longer and we would have asked to move. I would have happily given this feedback to their reception in a kind manner at check out if they had asked how our stay was - however, no one did ask."

"Our room was very clean and nice . It was on the first floor above the lobby /toilets which has piped music from 7.30am until late into the evening which could be heard all day in our room. It was also positioned in the alley side of the building next to the pub which is also noisy . So maybe not the hotel to stay in if you’re hoping for a quiet get away . "

"A very good location, opposite the King's Lynn Minster, at the end of the High Street, and close to the riverside. The suite was very large and well equipped. Clean and comfortable."
