"The location was great. The bathroom is a very good size but there was nowhere to put shampoo etc. once in the shower. There was no soap/shower gel, no soap only a pump softsoap at the sink. Sink is cracked cracked but ok. The shampoo and conditioner pumps were a generous size. There was a heated towel rail which was needed. Tea and coffee and milk supplies were as usual, very generous milk bottle. There were mugs and tea cups and saucers. Quite sweet. Where the experience fell down was with the host. I received no communication re entry code. At the property a sign pointed to reception, there was no reception. The sign had a contact number, it was answered by an automated answering service but I was not connected to a real person. I tried twice. Once I got through to the host (via a phone number on the website which was the contact for the previous owner) the host helped me access my room. However, she blamed the previous owner and the platform and expressed no empathy or understanding. It's not nice, after driving on your own for hours, to arrive somewhere in the cold, with no obvious means of contacting the host. I hope these are teething issues and the host learns to manage the platform(s) and to be proactive in helping customers."
"A great stay. Clean refurnished rooms. With the use of a lounge and kitchen . It ment we could relax and enjoy a cuppa in comfort. An interesting village to explore"
"The best place to stay in Tasmania. Avalon Coastal Retreat is an awesome place to stay. The location and space is unrivalled with sweeping views over Coles Bay to Freycinet Nat Park and pure architectural elegance of the accomodation was stunning. We could not have been more relaxed and rested. We enjoyed the open fire, the nigh stars, the walk down to a private beach, lunch at nearby Piermont restaurant, wine tasting down the road at Mayfield and a trip around the bay to walk to beautiful Wineglass bay. It could not have been in a better location. The welcome from host Shaine was next level and the generous food and drinks made the welcome even more impressive. We can’t wait to get back to Tassie and to stay at Avalon again. Vin and Kathy."

Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in Stonehenge. Holiday rentals offer amenities such as kitchens and laundry facilities so you'll feel right at home. If you're concerned about cleanliness, holiday rentals can offer a sense of security away from public hotel lifts and lobbies bustling with people while still allowing you to travel. You'll also get more space in a holiday rental than in a traditional hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a popular choice for small groups.
