"The room was not clean upon our arrival. The window in the room, which was located on the first floor, was left open. The pull-out sofa had a blood stain on the mattress, and there was hair in the bed.
When we requested additional sheets, the replacement sheets provided were also torn. We spoke with the staff at the front desk multiple times, but they were not helpful or sympathetic regarding the condition of the room. We explained that we were traveling with children and that these conditions were not appropriate for anyone, especially a family with children.
We were scheduled to stay for two nights for a dance competition. Due to the late hour and the lack of available rooms elsewhere, we had no choice but to stay the first night. I requested to speak with a manager and asked for something to be done regarding the situation, but the front desk employee stated he could not provide the manager’s contact information and would only relay the message.
I informed the staff that we would not be staying the second night and asked not to be charged for that day. I also requested a discount or accommodation for the first night due to the unacceptable conditions and the hardship we experienced. The employee was rude and stated there was nothing he could do.
I currently have a $900 charge on my account, including a $500 deposit that I have been disputing with the hotel. The entire experience was horrendous, and I will be escalating"
