"Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere every time I visit Rest. The wine hour and breakfast are great. We always eat at Taste which is excellent. The immediate area is historic and closed down. It’s a great place to stay after a day of wine tasting and exploring the historical towns nearby. "

"Great historic hotel with so much to learn about. Room was very clean and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Fun town full of history. Lots of great antique shops. "
"We spent the day in Apple Hill, and checked in at 3:30. We walked up and down the quaint Main Street of Placerville, and had dinner at a restaurant that was recommended by the hotel. Dinner at Brick's was yummy,
and a short stroll from the Hotel.
We slept well and got up and went to coffee at Cuppa in the morning. The only small issue we had was the trash being collected at 5:30 am, (This is a city issue, not hotel)
