"Awesome, our room was very clean "

"Hotel Grimsborgir is located near the kerid crater. It was my intention to visit the crater as soon as it opened in the morning, but I got a little impatient and couldn’t wait (it didn’t open until 10 am). That’s on me, though, for being the way that I am. The location is perfect for those who are traveling along the Golden circle and wish to further explore the area. There is also a lookout/view point nearby that overlooks the river, along with a beautiful view of the hills and beyond. It is absolutely worth the stop. I wish I had booked more than one night at this hotel. The rooms are situated in small buildings, around a loop, with every room/apartment getting a beautiful view, regardless of which direction it faces. The biggest bonus for me was that the bed was absolutely, amazingly comfortable! Traveling around Europe for the past few years, I always dread how firm the beds will be as they tend to be on the very firm side throughout Europe. The bed had the perfect amount of firmness and fluffy cloudiness and I slept wonderfully! The room came with a wonderful bathroom that included a nice-sized shower. The only negative here is that the shower curtain could use to be a bit heavier to prevent it from attacking you while showering. This, of course, only happens when you take a hot shower and it’s colder outside the shower than in. I just happen to be one of those females who takes a shower the temperature of hades… (I write too much and it got cut off. )"

The ambiance in the restaurant matched the theme perfectly, making the whole dining experience feel special. We also loved relaxing in the hot tub and sauna after long days of exploring. It was the perfect way to unwind and warm up, especially in the cooler weather. Overall, Hotel Viking is a fun, comfortable, and culturally rich place to stay. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting a unique experience with great amenities and food!"

"Very easy to locate with clean rooms and amenities. Very little parking behind the building, but staff was excellent at providing guidance for additional parking options. "

"Nice place to stay for a few nights in Reykjavik. The breakfast was simple but delicious. Easy free parking. It was about a 30 min walk into the centre of the city. The botanical gardens are 10 mins away as is a great big park. I would stay here again. "

"This is a great hotel for a stay in Selfoss. Easy to find beautiful location and the dining area is beautiful over looking the river. Do not expect large beds we had 2 twins that were pushed together but very comfortable. Very quiet did not hear any noise in the room. "
