Hotels near Strasburg Heritage Society

"This proves what I don't like about Hotels.com. I have to pay up front before I even get to the property. Pictures of the place don't describe how bad conditions are at the Strasburg Clarion Inn. We checked in and the front desk said they do not clean rooms every day, in fact we requested a Monday clean and it never happened. The place is very run down and the entire outside looks like a million coats of paint on an ugly pig. The sidewalks, many being brick, are sagging and in need of replacement. The bathrooms are antique and I had to personally fix the toilet to get it to flush. The lack of daily cleaning meant garbage was piled up outside rooms everywhere. We had to walk up and ask the front desk for more toilet paper, and they authorized us one roll. They parking lot was full of glass in one area and never got cleaned up. We wanted so bad to leave and find another hotel, but I paid for 5 nights already. Anyone who reads this. Don't stay at this hotel!!!"

"Rooms were very clean and nice. Indoor Pool was great. It was heated and seemed like it was a saltwater pool. Breakfast was soooo good with options like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, make yourself waffles and more. Only takeaway that was disappointing was that they had no more cribs left (I should have requested on earlier in the day, That was my fault but they should consider having more than 2) & the beds were a little too firm for me. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay. We will be back this summer!! "

"Hot water heater broke and checked in and couldn’t use or bathroom or facilites. AC in room did not work well at all, bed and furniture were of poor quality . Overall had a terrible corriente and had to check out early and change our plans. "
