The location is great for the RSC Theatre. Unfortunately my room was well below expectation - I don’t know if booking via Expedia even as a VIP guest was the cause. The room was on the ground floor at street level so anyone walking past could look straight in. The bathroom was in poor repair mouldy grout on the bath and damage to the bath itself. There was no dresser or shelving for clothes just hanging wardrobe. All in all a big disappointment.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly and welcoming Only gripe would be the floorboards around the hotel are incredibly squeaky so noisy inside the room from people walking in the corridors

The property was in a great location and the staff member that helped us checkin was really helpful. The room and bathroom were specious but the bathroom was not in a great condition. We noticed some stains on the sink that weren't cleaned properly, but this was quickly taken care of by the cleaning staff when we notified reception. The bathtub showed severe wear and tear, there were big rust spots, mould patches and the drain would not stay open. Overall we had a good experience, but the rooms are in need of some renovation and higher cleaning standards.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great location! This is my second stay at The Arden, and it was as lovely as the first. The staff even put a Happy Birthday surprise in the room on arrival for my mum, which was much appreciated.

We have stayed here in the past and been very happy. This time it was a very disappointing experience all around. The property is now very tired (which we could put up with) but also not very clean and the food hugely disappointing. We will definitely look for alternative accommodation and meal options on our next visit.

Very very dusty and rustic.... lots of stains on bed and bed sheets, room service woke me at 9am the one morning, very underwhelmed by this hotel.
