"Very helpful reception staff very welcoming and informative. Room was very clean and ready for us. Bar and restaurant staff were also excellent attentive. We had an excellent meal, the bill needed a bit of sorting out as the system had difficulty sorting out the normal menu and the offered special but got there in the end. We were with friends ( who used to be in the hospitality industry) and overall we were impressed. Thank you to all at The Bear we will be back "

"The road outside is a little noisy but the bed is incredibly comfortable. Kitchen facilities are excellent and room has WiFi and Sky TV (although the TV can't be easily seen from the bed). Shower was good - certainly hot enough, and toiletries provided were a nice touch. "

We would highly recommend staying at The Star Inn if you are in Stroud and in need of a good night's sleep, a nice pub atmosphere and last but not least a good breakfast, provided by George!
