"My room was gorgeous, clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the square. I never received prior communication about check-in, but a sign on the door to the building informed me to check-in at a different location around the corner. That was fairly simple, but I was charged for the room a second time. Later I realized I had already paid for the room online, went back the next morning, and got a refund. The refund could only be in cash. My room had a door to an adjoining room with a sign on it that said it was a fire exit for the adjoining room. That's pretty wild, but I just turned on my cognitive dissonance, and nothing happened. Seems very unsafe though."

"Hotel is located in the village. There is not many options to walk around hotel. We got large room,that was nice. Breakfast is good. I was surprised that receptionist does not speak english. Parking lot is close to the hotel, but the path from it to hotel has no lights so it is really dark if you arrive late"

"I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, The manager (also the chef) provided personal service and the meals were excellent. The staff were always supportive and friendly. My room was well appointed with a fridge, TV, free WiFi with daily housekeeping. Breakfast was good. Parking out front was good. My focus was visiting Barth and the regions and Hotel Carmina am See was centrally located for me. I could not fault this hotel and strongly recommend to travellers. "
