So communication was very last minute, we were arriving late at night and worried we had no password or details for the key lock to get it and the owners were not responding. It did say 7 days before we would be contacted so I panicked and thought it was a dodgy booking the entire week, finally the day before we got details and all was fine! "This place felt like a grandmothers vacation apartment. However, we were absolutely freezing after 3 pm every day. Nothing we did raised the temperature inside the apartment. We even turned the oven on and left the door open hoping to raise the temperature in the living room/ kitchen area. It didn’t work. There were an abundance of extra blanket though so the beds warmed up after a while. "

"We were a family of 4 staying in the family suite which was excellent with great facilities, modern, and roomy. Only slight downside was the noise from the ski hire shop directly above, 8am to 6pm. Staff very helpful and responsive. Breakfast ok, wide-ish choice. Hotel is in a great location. Could do more to compete with the lively apres-ski bar/hotel next door. All in all it was excellent and would stay again. "

"It was such a pleasure to stay at this unique establishment. The hosts take you in welcoming the place explaining their unique way of life. The location is great, next to parking lot right in town. The sauna on a rooftop with a stargazing bubble and mountain views is spectacular. The charcuterie plate serves thick cuts of local meats and cheese, don’t miss it. The dog Neige is a great St. Bernard welcoming you along with two cats."

"We stayed at Hotel Alvanche in Sauze D’Oulx for our honeymoon, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, with a lovely balcony offering stunning views. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, with a great variety of food to suit all tastes. It set us up perfectly for a day of skiing. The hotel’s heated boot room was an excellent feature, ensuring our skis and boots were dry and ready to go every morning. The location is unbeatable, with close proximity to the Clotes chairlift, making it incredibly convenient for getting onto the slopes quickly. We had an unforgettable week skiing and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alvanche. It was the perfect base for our honeymoon, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Sauze D’Oulx."
