"The staff of Aleesha Villas are its most valuable assets…always helpful, polite and friendly. It is only a short walk to the main area of Sanur but the property itself is in need of a great deal of improvement. It is shabby and run down and needs a lot of work to bring it to a level of other accommodation in the area. "

"Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. "I wasn't expecting the Andaz to be so family friendly, but it really caters to families well. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, there are several pool options to choose from, and the grounds are beautiful (and extensive). The hotel restaurants were very good and reasonably priced. You can walk along the boardwalk (or use the hotel's bikes) - just be mindful that parts can get very crowded at certain times of day, making it difficult to navigate with a bike or stroller. The kids club and playgrounds were very nice and all staff were lovely. "
