I had a nice room and great view and it is a good place in many ways at a price that reflects it's flaws. It's just a few things that let them down - towel rail loose;strange brown coloured dirt mark by the inside bathroom door handle; carpet in main room was loose and not properly fitted with a tear in it. Otherwise it was all a good standard.

Really friendly staff, really nice budget hotel, not sure how it’s rated 4 stars as it’s a bit more dated than a premier in. I wouldn’t let it stop you staying, location is excellent so is the room size and the beds were really comfortable. Just they really need to hoover the rooms and replace some bits! All in all would still stay again for a budget trip.

Very worn stair carpets - had to use the stairs as there was only one, very small, lift working and waiting for it took up most of the morning. Not much food on offer in the evening apart from a (frozen?) pizza - which was actually very nice.

The 2 female receptionists were warm friendly welcoming and professional and the hostess at breakfast was so very helpful smiley and thorough. Yes the decor is old fashioned tired but the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious the bed was very comfortable and the location is perfect with cheaper onsite parking.

The hotel is solid, not a bad stay and the bed was quite comfortable. The property is quite run down though, with ripped / broken carpet, no fridges, and the rooms and hallways have likely not seen renovations for quite some time. Staff were very nice though.

We visited the area to meet up with family. The price we paid on Expedia was great and not dissimilar to that for Premier Inn/Travelodge, which we would normally have used. I would say that the hotel previously was 4-star, but I wouldn't say it was 4-star today. The room was clean and staff welcoming. Parts of look like it needed attention. But there was some scaffolding up and the restaurant was closed for refurbishment, so they're possibly making some improvements. Only one of the two lifts in reception were working, and they're very small. The air conditioning in our room didn't seem to work, but thankfully the window did open. The toilet paper and tea/coffee were not replaced automatically considering we stayed for 3 nights. TV was not smart (so unable to cast from mobile); only Freeview channels available. Strangely, the room had a small table but no chairs.... In the mornings, the hot water was only slightly warm. However, we did have a pleasant stay, and it's a very convenient location for the shops and eateries.

Breakfast great, rooms and hotel in general very tired, but we think it’s being done up as scaffolding all round. Staff efficient and pleasant, food sparse, only pizza for dinner available, so we ate out. Convenient location near shops and waterfront just a walk away, easy access to the gower.
