"Beautiful property, plenty of space and lots to keep you entertained. The house was very clean and tidy with very comfy beds. Plenty of kitchen wear they only thing we may suggest is some form of cleaning product as it wasnt something we thought of bringing with us. But other than was a great weekend and highly reccomend. "

"Nice property, well equipped kitchen. Great location ( near pub, shops, fantastic cafe. ) The only downside was automatic check in didn’t go smoothly and very hard to contact anyone so took almost an hour of hanging around before we could access room. Such a shame because otherwise it was great! Hopefully this will be rectified and not happen in the future for other guests."

"Generally good, clean & well equipped. We did have problems with the shower which would only maintain temperature for approx 1 min & then would turn freezing cold. The only way to reset it was to turn it off & back on again for another 1 minute warm shower. Otherwise a nice property with comfy sofas & good value for money. "

"Clean and safe, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient for the station, the river walk, and the centre. Many pubs, restaurants, and cafes in walking distance.
However amenities were a little lacking, even for the price. I stayed for two nights, first in a 3-person family room and then in a single with shared bathroom. The WiFi was patchy in the first room and didn’t always reach my room, and there was no bedside lamp or way of switching off the main light from the bed in the second, so it was very inconvenient to read in bed.
The toilet was very close to my room and free whenever I needed to use it but there was no hook or shelf for my towel and toiletries (no sink in my room) and no hand towel. The shower was just a closet in the corridor with a shower inside, just one hook on the door and no dry place to change or store clothes, so presumably if I’d had a shower I would have had to go to and from my room in a towel. For this reason I didn’t use the shower. There was also no shelf in the shower for toiletries, just a small holder for shampoo or something. I think it was probably designed by a man who uses all-in-one shower gel/shampoo, lol.
I’d stay again because the price is good but probably not for more than a night in the shared bathroom single room because of the shower situation. I’d suggest to the hotel that they could make a few small changes (hooks and a shelf in the shared toilet, bedside reading lights, another extension for the WiFi)"
"Lovely stay for a few days in Norfolk, in a good location.
We struggled with parking on the first day arriving during bank holiday weekend - we had to park on a random street 10 minutes away. So we weren’t able to bring our luggage with us to check in, and had to wait until the evening to get a parking space. The staff weren’t particularly helpful when we asked what we should do in this situation, but they seemed quite busy and stressed.
There was also a problem with our room key being missing - the situation was a bit chaotic. So this paired with the parking didn’t get us off to the best start.
The room was comfortable with a large bed and had everything we needed. The shower was powerful and warm. Only thing to note was the sink was in the bedroom not the bathroom which is worth noting. The room, and the hallways of the main house could do with a refresh of paint too.
Our room overlooked the courtyard and it was quite warm so we had the window open which did mean it was a bit noisy at night, especially over the bank holiday.
The food was very good. Both at breakfast and for dinner. The breakfast menu could have done with a couple more hot options for when you are staying more than a couple days as it did get repetitive. But the food was fresh and tasty and the continental spread was good.
Overall a lovely hotel, but it could just improve a little in places to deliver the experience they are wanting to offer."
"One approaches the hotel with a drive through beautiful woodland and then arrive at a breathtakung Elizabethan revival manor house, the archtecture is truly impressive and the interior does not disappoint either. Our room was immaculate and the facilities are top drawer, Swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and a very smart spa. If golf is your thing there is a lovely golf course and driving range. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful which helps to create a very pleasant and relaxing vibe, all of which makes Dunston the perfect place for a relaxing break, we will definetly be coming back. Well recommended."
"A really nice hotel for a special occasion, the staff were both friendly and helpful, while food was lovely. We stayed in the Boutique Suite, which was wonderful. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was because the jacuzzi bath had an issue with the plug, which meant we were not able to enjoy this as much as we would have liked due to the bath losing water. This was reported to reception. While the food was lovely, we were bombarded by flies in the restaurant, which was a bit annoying when you're trying to enjoy a nice meal. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and will happily return again in the near the future."
"Just had a wonderful stay at The Pheasant, Holt, Norfolk.
The hotel was very comfortable, lovely bedrooms and equally lovely seating areas downstairs.
We were out and about most of the time, as one would expect to be on a short vacation however, the ambience and comfort when at the hotel was simply wonderful.
As for the staff:-just beautiful and helpful- each and every staff member is. They simply made our stay. Thank you and hope to visit again soon.
