"The hotel had a luxurious feel to it and everything was very clean! Food at The Stadium was delicious, our beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was quite spacious with a jet tub and a shower both.
My only areas for improvement would be to offer a more affordable restaurant onsite--"19" looked great but was out of our price range-- and to have more consistent bar/food staff at the pool during the weekdays.
Our biggest deterrent was the smoke in the casino. Previously, we have been to casinos that had a designated smoking area, which we feel would have been nice here. "
"The only complaint I have is we came down from the casino to grab our bags at 1055 and we were already locked out the room. The checkout time is 1100. It was easy for her to reset it but that was annoying!!"
"This classic hotel, in near-constant service since the 19th Century, is a pleasant place to rest after a busy day. It is near the riverfront walk, and the town of Rising Sun is a calm place to spend some time.
Just outside of town is a wolf refuge that is well worth the time to visit, and the drive along the river from and to the Interstate is beautiful.
When the owner saw that we were all one family, she moved us from our two rooms into a three-room suite at no additional charge, which we greatly appreciated."
"The breakfast was really not that bad for a continental breakfast. I thought the potatoes amd sausage were very yummy. The bed was very comfortable. I slept like a sack of potatoes. Also, the room was nice and quiet and private. "
