Great Stay

This hotel is in a great location and the service and helpfulness of all of the owners/staff is oustanding. The rooms are a little quirky but that is common in hotels of this age. Our room had a lot of space, except for the bathroom which was quite small. A generous breakfast was included in the price.

An extraordinary experience

Choose this hotel for an extraordinary experience. However, be aware that the stairs to the second floor are not suitable for those with bad knees. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast superb.

Absolutely recommend

Lovely old hotel with a great location and very nice staff. The view from our room was perfect but be aware that there are several steep steps to get to the rooms so be mindful if you have a traveler with some difficulties. Breakfast was fresh and cooked perfectly and the entire staff was so helpful and very positive. I would absolutely stay there again.

The hotel is within walking distance from the ferry docking place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that is included is very good and offered variety of choices. There are restaurants just outside the hotel. the room was clean and comfortable.

Wonderful location and facilities. Small hotel rehabbed from some other use so there are some idiosyncratic design features, such as stairs that others commented on. Hosts are very accommodating and helpful. Amazing breakfast is the clincher. Would return eagerly.

Just stay here!

Love this hotel! Outstanding position, a little noisy but you are above the cafes and right across from the harbour. 400 m walk to the swimming areas. Good shopping nearby. Great breakfast excellent service by Panos.

Convenient location on the harbor within a short walk of the ferry landing and virtually everything else in town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, bathroom/shower tight, not surprising for a turn of the century hotel. Should mention the hotel lacks an elevator so not suitable for those unable to walk two flights of stairs.

This gem of a hotel on the waterfront of Syros' main town, Ermoupoli was a delight to stay in. If you want a Greek island in the Cyclades, which is virtually tourist free, Syros is the answer. The rooms were clean and well appointed and the staff service was superb. They responded cheerfully and helpfully to any request for assistance. The breakfast is freshly cooked from an a la carte menu that offers plenty of options. Cappuccinos and other coffees are provided at no extra cost and staff are very happy to provided multiple cups. All the staff were cheerful and friendly and happy to assist with everything. The hotel is adjacent to a large number of cafes, restaurants and bars which operate from early in the morning until late at night.

Exceptional hotel

Wonderful hotel, I would stay here again. Beautiful views. A little distance from main harbour but the hotel and staff made up for that. Food was excellent. Staff couldn’t do enough. We wanted to stay longer but fully booked. We loved it

There was a range of foods -we honed in on fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt etc. coffee made to your preference. Meat seemed to be processed. Staff were quite attentive and kind and compensated with help with luggage on precarious stairs. Soap dish shattered in shower when I grabbed at it. Shower was most roomy and easy to use on our trip. Decor somewhat vintage. View of port was amazing from our window. Great location to ferry, restaurants. No regrets. We would definitely recommend to those who don’t require high end accommodations.

Perfect stay

Aktaion is located perfectly at the city centre and it is a walking distance from port and all restaurants. Good fresh breakfast and hotel has extremely nice and helpfull staff too! Definitely we'll be back when next time in Syros!

The building was pretty and the room was small but had everything I needed plus a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly. The only thing was that the shower head had to be held. There was no insert for it.

Good stay

The location is great, breakfast is very good, staff friendly and amenable. Room was okay but shower very small and floor constantly got totally wet. Parking is serious problem. Prepare to walk up steep steps with your luggage to the rooms.

Loved the central location. A few minute walk from the ferry port. Super close to a plethora of bars and restaurants! The staff was lovely and very hospitable. The room was a bit small for us to open our suitcases but we were only staying 2 nights so it was manageable. I wish there was a shower head attached to the wall. It was hard for me to wash my hair holding the shower head.
