"Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Any short comings and concerns we conveyed to staff were dealt with swiftly. I can honestly say they did everything they could to look after us. Kitchen was super helpful as restaurants were getting expensive. The rooms were well layed out and clean. They had an information book in the room with pharmacy and emergency services as well as local attractions. Right on the water so you have a great view. Only thing is that the beach/swim area is very small and has lots of boats going through it so I never felt comfortable to go in the ocean there. This is of course outside of the hotels control but still made it so I had to go elsewhere for swimming. It's also super close to were the Carribean sprinter docks on San Pedro so take that one when traveling there. I had a great time here and would strongly recommend the Mayan Princess."

"I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. I recently stayed here and had a really good experience. The staff were very friendly and room was very well cleaned. The only issue I noticed was the noise but I went there during the lobster fest and the lobster fest happens right outside the hotel, directly across from it on the other street. The other similar issue reported by people has been the ocean views. I feel like some of the photos are deceiving, but from where this hotel is located at, you can't really see the ocean from the rooms. Wi-Fi was decent, and the staff were very accommodating along with the golf cart rentals being reasonably priced. If you're looking for a place in the heart of downtown San Pedro, this is a good affordable spot. Don't expect nothing five star as the price reflects that obviously but it's not a terrible spot like most reviews on here are claiming."

"Our stay at The Phoenix was absolutely amazing! The resort was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. There was always something to do, whether we wanted to explore, relax by the pool, or enjoy the beach. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our vacation special. They went above and beyond to help with our every need and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend The Phoenix to anyone visiting Belize. We can’t wait to come back!"

"This property was simply amazing. It was nice quiet tucked away but not to far from the party. The property staff were amazing from the time I booked until the time we departed. They assisted us to back and forth to beach complementary a back and forth to the water taxi to go on our excursions. The rooms were gorgeous just as advertised and very spacious. I will definitely be bringing my family back to just stay here and enjoy Belize."
