Not perfect but great!
Breakfast was great! I booked two different rooms. The first room I was impressed with the cleanliness except for some molds around the sink. In the second bigger room, though spacious, it had the bidet leaking. We have to call maintenance to have it fixed. But it was overall a great stay. My brother who also ventured into their Skye said it was good, as well. Overall, I would recommend

Overall a good Hotel
The Hotel is nice modern, clean, with a helpful and friendly staff. They have a great wine and coffee bar on the 5th floor. The cons the restaurant several items on the menu were not available the food we had that was available was excellent. The shower had no hot water only luke warm. The main item for me as the lack of customer parking. They have 50 guest rooms and less than 10 parking spots

The room was clean, The staff were very helpful and courteous. The restaurant is nice! Suggestions: I would advise to put a mirror in the room as it was not convenient to be doing to the bathroom when dressing up. Also lotion and toothbrush.

Reasonable new hotel , single room a bit small. Wifi worked ok, Breakfast did the trick. Late check out at 4 PM was 500 P. taxi to airport was 300pP

Awesome room! But people are not helpful for me to open the door but some does. I would hope for them to change a little and do what should do to open the door for customer due to the door was too hard or heavy to open?

The hotel is tidy. It’s well presented. BUT. The rooms are really small. The water oozes out of the walls. The air conditioner makes a terrible banging sound I more than 1 room.

Tacloban family visit.
Nice hotel considering the area is still recovering. The restaurant was awesome and very courteous staff. Food is really good. Nice views from the rooms. Bathrooms are kind of tight when the door is open. Had some hot water issues a couple times.

Very tiny room for a big price.
Hotel is new but rooms are very tiny, you need to have the other person out of the way to walk around the bed in the room. The double bed just fits in and no place to put your luggage. Room is probably design only for short stay like 2 hours with no luggage, you know what I mean!. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anybody who wanted to enjoy their holidays. And the price is for high for a very tiny cubicle, not a regular room really.

Best hotel in town
Had to stay in tacloban for business trip with the family. I think this hotel is the best in the whole city...I'd pay extra just to stay here...tacloban had no power for almost 2 weeks now due to a recent calamity but this hotel still delivers comfort to its guests. If ever I'll be in tacloban again, won't look for any where else but hotel Estrella.

My Trip to Tacloban City
I recently went on vacation to the Philippines. A week before my departure is when I made the reservation with Hotel Estrella. I arrived early in the morning on the 18th of May. Unfortunately check in for the room wasn't until 2pm and the room I reserved was ready. Instead of having me sit in the Hotel lobby for almost three hours the hotel staff was kind enough to upgrade my room for the night free of charge.The next morning they(hotel staff) suggested that I might want to consider upgrading to the next size room, explaining that I may be more comfortable. I took the suggestion and had a wonderful time in the Philippines which included the hotel Estrella.

Looks like a brand new hotel with a few teething problems but has excellent staff and nice restaurant though menu could have more choice. Good Internet. Nice coffee bar sells brewed coffee and cakes and indoor and outdoor seating on 5th floor. Surprisingly, neither brewed coffee or wine available in ground floor restaurant. Ours was the more spacious room choice and all was good. Rooms had no kettle/cups/coffee, which I'm used to and like. Only one power outlet in whole room and that in middle of the beds.

The room was so small we were not able to open both suite cases at one time. Hot water was hit or miss...noise was unbelievable bath room was so small...only one of us was able to use it at one time and a shower that needed a better drain.

Hotel was ok, but what impressed me was the staff. Very attentive and helpful. Skye lounge has a perfect view while having coffee( my favorite was caramel macchiato. Definitely I'll stay here again.

This hotel has friendly and helpful reception staff but everything else is disappointing. The rooms are clean but very small and considering its star rating you would expect better. On our second day breakfast was refused because the person in charge said we were to late. When I check my mobile phone against the clock in the restaurant the clock in restaurant was 15 minutes fast. When this was brought to the attention of the person in charge we were still refused breakfast,. We are still waiting on a response from hotel supervisor as requested.
