Comfortable no nonsense hotel/motel perfect for road trip overnighter. Comfortable bed with decent shower and air con. Breakfast was good. Restaurant was closed for August for cleaning - not sure if this applies every August. Very little in the way of habitation around the hotel - 5 minute drive ...

Because of our late train arrival the reception desk was closed. We had informed the property two days prior by email but it was not acknowledged. We were fortunately met by a representative who took us to our room. Lovely room but a/c didn’t work, fans only. :(

Lovely place, farm buildings reconverted to a good standard, divisions quite spacious, lots of historical objects. Good costumer service, supported us with our late check-in.

A quiet charming little old town - no modern buildings - in a very lovely situation on the Charente. It made a good stopover on our journey south and is the sort of place which makes it worth driving and stopping over rather than flying.
