Awesome staff with great communication. Quiet area in Kyoto and about 11 min walk to the station. Kitchen and washer/dryer were convenient and easy to use. Shower was also great with good water pressure.

You cannot beat the location !! Central to everything. The hotel staff were very friendly and responsive to our needs. The room was spacious and well appointed. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. One kink was the washing machine…. It took much too long to figure it out. that aside, would highly recommend this hotel. It was a splurge but worth it.

The hotel is brand new and in pristine condition, but there were some notable operational quirks. It doesn’t seem like management is able to decide whether this is a luxury property or a select service hotel - even though there were two reception desks staffed at all times, the staff were actively pushing customers to use the three self-service kiosks for all operations (check-in, breakfast coupons, check-out) and actually doing the work for them on those machines. Not sure what the point of that was or whether it should be the case in a luxury property. Similarly, the public bath in the basement is pretty underwhelming, if pristine. All that said, the rooms were spotless, staff were very helpful and spoke English impeccably, and breakfast was great both in terms of food selection and quality.
