"Loved our stay in the old Bundy cottage. The amazing beds and the fireplace were the real standout as was the ease of QR code ordering from the bistro and getting food delivered to the door.
We really appreciated the character and charm of the large old house, which does of course bring a few rattles and creaks in the high winds with a hot water service that takes forever to warm up. (We felt so bad wasting so much water). The easy access to great cafes just over the railway was a real treat and of course being right behind the pub. The only drawback of being so close was the bottles being emptied right near your front door late at night. (Just something to be aware of if you are travelling with young kids).
Otherwise it was a wonderful few nights and we’d happily stay again."
"We had a lovely stay at Dormie House from 6th - 10 July. We had a room that was clean yet really small to be honest . There was no where to hang clothes, apart from two pegs to hang our coats on. That was a bit frustrating.
Also painters came in on the second day and the strong smell of enamel paint permeated into our room ...it was awful , I ended up with a terrible headache and went down to reception to see if something could be done. Gale , the receptionist, went into action immediately to sort us another room , far away from the paint smell.
The Manager put us in a beautiful room overlooking the golf course. It was very generous of him and most appreciated.
The staff are really lovely. A shout out to Gale and also an amazing young man , Cameron, who served the drinks in the bar. Very chatty and interested in you ..a lovely young man.
The only slight criticism is that I found it a quite cold building. Yes I know its winter but a but more warmth throughout would have been nice.
Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and thank everyone for making it so."
"Such a beautiful property! The cafe/restaurant was amazing and the wood-fired pizzas were incredible. Cozy rooms with all the amenities needed. Make sure to give Chloe a little cuddle!"
"Very quiet and relaxed. Friendly and knowable staff. Excellent room amenity. Well located in the centre of town with easy secure parking. Looking forward to our next longer stay."
