Beautiful property on a hill with infinity pool overseeing the ocean! All ocean view rooms, amazing breakfast each day and access to a great beach front club with gym, pool, beach. The club is however at a a different location than the main property and the hotel provides with hourly transport to and fro. The rooms are dated and bathrooma rather small and old.

Let me say I was disappointed with the room. I had to report a ceiling fan that kept clicking in the middle of the night. The chairs on the balcony had a netting that was falling apart, they replaced it with a steel chair, that wobbled. The door you had to pull rather hard for it to shut properly. People would leave their room service plate outside their door. It would last about a day to a day and a half. Now the breakfast that was included used powdered eggs, the sausage was dry, the rice was hard. When all said and done they did give us a ride to the airport.

Room was clean, with an amazing beach view. The few things that were only minor issues: 2 bulbs were out in room lighting fixtures and one of the bedside wall receptacles was pushed through the wall. All were fixed in a timely manner by hotel maintenance staff. We had a pleasant stay and all of the staff were welcoming and friendly.

Extremely expensive for what you get. 1st come 1st serve for shuttle and hard to access the city by walk (uphill). Allowing guests to smoke in the pool. Hotel and amenities falling apart (not well kept or maintained). Drinks majorly diluted. Had curdle milk in my coffee, was told by staff that was normal and we're adamant on not changing it. Completely dismissed for 375$ a night we we're expecting alot more. I would rate this hotel a 2-3 star max.

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I travel often enough. Beautiful view of tamarindo beach from the infinity pool, staff is so friendly and accommodating(we got a sunburn and they let us trim some of the hotel aloe for use lol) Rooms are clean and each comes with a balcony view of the beach. Breakfast is free and super tasty, a buffet. Didn’t use the spa but they have have deals those too! Cant wait to come back to the Wyndham

If you’re going for the views & the pool - it’s a great hotel. With that said the rooms need a full renovation. The AC leaks, the bathroom is very run down and the room has no furniture (other than a bed). The rooms are not great. Also - locals crash the pool (especially at sun set) and the hotel doesn’t do anything about it - making chairs sometimes hard to get. The AM breakfast was good though.
