Our room had a great beach view but looked very different from the photos online. The design of the room was still clean & unique! It was unfortunately quite noisy being on the first floor and having to be woken up and listen to unhoused people yelling at each other right outside the hotel in the middle of the night. Additionally, while the area around it was fine during the daytime, it was very unclean and unsafe at night, with many unhoused people congregating around the premises.

On a positive: check in was relatively fast and accommodating, beautiful views of the ocean.
On the other hand, room furniture was old, room was consistently not made up until early evening hours, phone calls for hotel services were not answered for up to 10 minutes, daily parking fees were unreasonably high.

My only issue was that I did not receive the discounted rates that LXR offered because I made my reservations through Expedia. I feel Expedia should be more transparent or at least or the same discounts as the hotel does.

We arrived before check in dead line only to be told no one could check us in and it would be about thirty minutes or so. Waited got our room. The tv dint work properly. The hot water didn’t work properly. He came and showed us how to get hot water … faucet is plumbed backwards. Found live roaches ...
