Decent little scottish town, not a great deal to do If we hadnt just come from the Isle of Skye we would have been more impressed. Bars dont take card, so carry cash!

"Overnight stay whilst using ferry from Kennacraig, check in was smooth, room was small but on the whole very clean. Bathroom towel rail in real need of replacement. Food and service very good and would recommend the restaurant. Would happily stay again."

"It was great apart from room being next to main road would suggest triple glazing as I am a light sleeper a had an early rise for 7am ferry but kept getting woken up by passing trucks during the early hours, apart from that room was perfect."

Lovely harbour. Castle walk was great and the views were worth the climb. The whole area was interesting and great to explore.

There is not a lot in Tarbert itself but if you do a bit of homework before you go there are lots of places to visit within a 30 min drive in Kintyre.
