Loved our stay check in was easy, clear instructions provided via email a couple days before check in then text the day of check in. Was a quiet location and clean room. Bed was comfortable and water pressure was amazing. Cant wait to come back

I enjoyed my stay at Dunrovin, the room was cosy and warm and was modern and well appointed. The location is quiet, but also only a short distance to the lake and town. Will definitely stay again.

So friendly and accommodating. The only thing I have to say is the curtains in the bedroom were so bright it made it hard to have a good sleep in. Other than that I can’t fault this motel!

We loved our stay at Dunrovin as part of our road trip around the North island. Josef was very welcoming. The unit was so cute with beautiful garden area. Clean, great bed, warm and cosy with everything we needed. We were so close to town and enjoyed the walk there. Would definitely stay again when visiting Taupo.

Good stay but a few things to iron out

Pretty good stay overall however unit 2 which we stayed in has an aircon controller that only allows you to turn it on/off. No control over temperature, fan speed etc. The pillows were quite thin as well. Apart from this, the room was great. Very clean and had a good kitchen to make simple meals.

We enjoyed our stay, but there were a couple of negatives, one being the lack of space in the bedrooms for bags and the other is the lack of comfort with the double bed, it's well past it's life. On a positive note, everything was very clean, the aircon was wonderful and great packing for unit 1.

Disappointing service

The room and motel location were fine, but the service was not good. We never saw a person in the office and as far as we know, our room was looked at just once in our three-night visit. We had a leaky shower head that sprayed all over when turned on and reported it the first day, but it was never fixed. We also were given just tiny packets of shampoo that didn't last long and the garbage wasn't emptied.
