We stayed at The Foundry Masters House for 2 nights. We were welcomed by Danny who suggested we reversed our car in to make an easier exit. A very wise suggestion.
Our room was the smaller of the three bedrooms but we benefited from the morning sun. There was a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers & a comfy double bed. The garden was delightful with lots of colourful flowers & shrubs ( Danny’s handiwork).
Dawn was the chef and her food was first class. The choice of menu was equally amazing for breakfast, lunch & evening meals. We are now on a diet having eaten so much sumptuous food.
The facilities were also very good, the shower was huge & powerful & there were thoughtful touches like shampoo, conditioner & body wash. A hair drier & illuminated mirror were provided. Tea, coffee etc & electric kettle were provided too.
Dawn also loaned us an OS map & suggested various walking routes.
Ironbridge Gorge has lots of museums & you can purchase a museum pass to visit all museums.
The surrounding areas are steeped in history are well worth a visit. The world’s first iron bridge was built here by Abraham Darby. The iron & steel works are now closed down..
Highly recommend The Foundry Masters House & surrounding countryside.
