"The resort is in a very quiet area. They could have a small shop for essentials. There was a pool bar but unfortunately it was closed. The cleaners were hit and miss not their fault, but meant we had no cleaning and the bin not emptied. There was no facility to empty the bin ourselves. The rooms were dated and could do with some sprucing up.
No information on what was around. Handy for the beach."

"We got the cheap studio with the sofa beds that dont have such great reviews. However, we turned them around and put them together to make a big bed. They were quite comfortable and the sheets and pillows were good quality. Very satisfied. The only issue was that there was no dish soap in the kitchen. The balcony had great views of the village and the beach. We were facing west, and had a lovely sunset.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend the restaurant called Bellmonte next...

"Amazing experience at this property. We felt welcomed and really enjoyed making bbq and swimming in the pool. You do need a car to get to this property, but you will not be disappointed."

"EstĂĄ bien para las mascotas. El colchĂłn y las almohadas demasiado duros. El frigorĂfico muy pequeño y no enfriaba bien. La piscina estaba muy sucia y no la utilizamos. La chica que nos atendiĂł encantadora."

"We had a very warm welcome and the Appartement was in good condition. Parking was in a garage and big enough for our Van. We spent three great days there. Also the kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed. Thanks to the Solmares team"

"There's a welcome drink at check in, which is a nice touch. Decent size room with a good size south facing balcony (worth the extra cost). Spacious and clean bathroom.
Pool clean but totally very warm in October, despite the sunny weather. Plenty of sun loungers available. Pool access is through the gym though which is rather strange, or via reception on the floor above.
The indoor pool is very small, short and narrow, ok to lounge about in, but you can't really swim. There is a sauna and steam room too, but these are also quite small. One annoying feature is that pool towels are only available at reception for a âŹ10 deposit, annoying if you arrive at the spa and then have to go back up to reception on the floor above to get a towel. I don't know why this couldn't be done in the spa itself.
Good choice at breakfast, especially the hot food selection, but the pastries are a poor, and not very well displayed, just thrown onto a plate. The dining room is also quite noisy being a hard floor, with chairs being moved etc. Piano player during breakfast is a nice touch, as is the sparkling wine.
The roof bar is a great place in the evening, often with live music, food and snacks available too.
During our stay one of the lifts was out of service for 5 days, meaning there was always a long wait.
All in all, a good hotel with great facilities and also only 5 minutes walk to the town centre."
"Must book, great location, staff were all great as nothing was to much trouble, hotel was clean and tidy, there was 2 terraces which we enjoyed a drink watching the sun going down before heading out for dinner, the beach club is a nice 2km stroll from the hotel, and just âŹ3-5 euro to get a taxi back if you don't want to walk, The beach club is such a wonderful place and we spent 2 days of complete relaxation on our 4 night stay so well worth the visit, the hotel staff booked our sunbeds and the food at the beach club is very nice as well. on our last night we enjoyed some cocktails in the hotel bar that were mixed up by one of the staff and highly recommend the Mai Tai "
"We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the resort. The check-in was seamless and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend renting a vehicle, as the resort is quite aways from dining (other than resort options). Parking in the outside parking lot was free, as well as street parking. Parking underground was 12 euros per night. In October, we had no trouble finding a spot outside. The room was in the smaller side, but neat, clean and comfortable. Yes, there were a few ants in the bathroom, but it was understandable given the somewhat remote location close to nature. I would recommend bringing insect repellant, even in October, if you plan to eat outside in the evenings. The breakfasts were pretty good, with lots of options. We had the dinner buffet the first night for 29 euros per person - but for every other lunch and dinner, we went into Tavira or Faro. There were much better options with 4.8/5.0 reviews on google that were tastier and less expensive. If you have a choice, eat outside the resort. That being said, we would definitely stay here again. We did the yoga and the paddle boarding and enjoyed both activities. The yoga was very basic and certainly no comparison to yoga in any major North American city, but the beach was lovely. The paddleboards were the inflatable kind but I got the opportunity to work on my balance and their drag made sure I got a workout in. The resort is comparable to a 4.5 star resort in Mexico."
"We loved the restoration of the old existing structure alongside the stunning extension to the rear. From entering the hotel there is a true welcoming check in.
The decor is exquisite and provides a serene ambience.
Staff are very helpful and respectful to all our requests.
The gardens and the pot plants throughout the exterior of the hotel are calming to the mind. The therapist Christina in the wellness centre was excellent and provided me with a very positive experience at the Luma Wellness Centre.
The housekeeping staff were very attentive and our room and terrace were immaculately clean to a high standard.
We loved the pool/beach bag provided and the coffee maker in the room.
Breakfast was to a high standard and we loved the menu options served to the table.
We loved the food in the restaurant, its presentation and the staff and managerâs attentiveness during our dining experience."
Yes, there are holiday rentals close to the most popular sights in TenĂȘncia, or you can select a more secluded option if you're looking for a relaxing stay.
Whatâs there to see and do in TenĂȘncia?
While exploring the area, visit family-friendly sights like Parque Zoo Municipal Prudencio Navarro, or get outside and enjoy nature at Monte Gordo Beach. Vila Real Santo Antonio Harbour and Marques de Pombal Square are a couple of places you'll find in the wider area.
Whatâs a holiday rental in TenĂȘncia like?
Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in TenĂȘncia. Holiday rentals feature extras such as patios, hot tubs and fire pits so you'll feel just like you're staying in your own home. If you're concerned about cleanliness, holiday rentals can provide a sense of safety away from public hotel lifts and lobbies packed with people while still allowing you a great travel experience. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a popular option for family gatherings.
