Small motel with the sweetest owners
Comfort Green Motel is a very small motel, barely outside of Thayer. Check in was very pleasant, sweetest little couple own this property. Room was very outdated, but I did expect this based on previous reviews. Room was good sized and clean. Google maps shows this motel as permanently closed; it's not!!

Not a lot of choice in the area.
As advertised, no frills motel. The sign and surrounding property could use sprucing up. It’s an older property but the room was very clean. Our room in the trailer addition was spacious and comfortable but the thin walls let a lot of unwanted noise into our room late at night. The plus was supporting a family owned business.

Great place to stay
Had a great time at Comfort green motel, nice host, rooms were super clean and spacious, nice shower, microwave and fridge equipped. Cable TV and Wifi. You will love it!

The room was clean, everything worked....shower, TV, lights etc...It was exactly what we wanted, a reasonably priced overnight stay. There are no frills or extra's...no fancy lobby, no breakfast stuff etc. They did have a fire pit out back with seating. Staff was very friendly and you can tell that they work very hard at keeping the place going.

We knew the property had only a two star rating but the last review was in January. So we decided to try it. We liked it a basic country motel but clean with good beds. We had a room with a comfy little porch where we sat and watched the moon rise. Obviously they were working on the reception area so it was a mess. When getting in the room there was no remote for the tv and after getting one from the office area (which required a phone call to the husband and a search) I had to program the remote and find the power button for the tv (located on the back of the tv) because the woman knew absolutely nothing. The property was located about 6 miles from the closest town and had no place to eat nearby, no amenities what-so-ever not even a soda machine. All and all it was pretty bad, I stayed because they allowed pets and I have a small dog.

Office area was a mess. Hotel didn't have my reservation until I got there, so had to cancel another guest. Room seemed to be clean. Heat...space heater in the wall. Cooling...window unit. Only one small styrofoam cup provided for the entire room. Not a great property for the price.

Terrible place to stay. The room was dirty and smelly. Carpet was old and tattered and stained. Other flooring didn’t go all the way to the walls. The Fossetts were backwards. Lots of flies in the room. Overall a horrible place.

Motel in the middle of no where
Lots of space, no heat in bathroom and 40 degrees outside. No instructions for rest of individual heaters, one was window unit, other was wall heater. Other fetheres in the room was reasonable. The unit was over priced for what it was.

Carpet was NOT vacuumed. I was by myself and don't need the white glove treatment but was told that my room WILL be clean. Which I expect when you pay someone to stay at their hotel. If I still was married, I doubt that princess would've stayed.

This motel definitely has character. The staff was very friendly and that's what makes me feel awful to give them a bad review. But the rooms were terrible. The bed was very hard and not comfortable. Only 2 pillows were available. Wifi did not work majority of the time. There are many people actually living in this motel and it just made it an unpleasant and somewhat frightening environment. However, the staff were amazing! Very nice and welcoming. But I would not recommend this motel to anyone that expects basic standards be met even at a "crappy motel."

When I arrived they did not have the room I had reserved. So they tired to charge me another $15 for a different room. I told them I have a set price as booked on hotels.com. The asked who I spoke with, I tried to explained I booked it online. However, they where an older couple and did not understand how that worked. The showed me another room that they said was for the amount I was told at hotels.com. but this room was very small, unclean and was next to other room where it looked like permanent residents stayed. The Couple was nice, however the quality of the hotel and the horrible. I am surprised the web site event lists this hotel. I was forced to dive farther down the roan and get a room with a different hotel for the a few dollars more then I planned, however the room was nice and larger then what I was offered at the hotels.com hotel.

can't get no satisfaction there in Thayer!
This is a review I did not want to do!Other than a very friendly clerk there was very little about this hotel to commend.I almost felt a bribe when the clerk suggested I go to their website and say we had a pleasant stay for a chance to win our money back.I would avoid this place in the future.can

not what I was expecting
at $70/per night - way overpriced for what you get. I checked out a day early to switch to original booking. Room was clean and staff were fine, but shower didn't work, coffee pot had to be placed on floor to be plugged in. Bed was uncomfortable and could not get comfortable temperature wise. Unfortunately, most of this was not obvious until later that night and not much could be done other than checking out. Will be asking for refund of second day of reservation.

I am very sorry our guest did not get what they were expecting. The guest did not report any problems while at the motel. No one has reported the shower not working and there is a power strip for the coffee pot I am not sure what happened here this is the first I have heard of this. If at anytime our guest have an issue we will address it as quickly as possible when informed. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible.
