"Spot clean you could lick the floor anywhere. My room was a small one and yet felt great. Comfortable bed, great bathroom a nice big screen TV, but... I could not understand how to find my way through the multiple possibilities and the subtleties of finding the programme I wanted to watch (simply TVNZ1, the news), which eventually I could not find... small problem at all as I was too tired by the rest of the day to really watch TV. The staff was nice, friendly, helpful, always smiling and polite while ready to share a banter or a joke. Breakfast was good, although the buffet could do with a bit more variety. Restaurants' menu varied, all dishes I tasted were excellent, served on huge dishes that were totally full... impossible to get hungry; their personnel was efficient, always calm even during breakfast rush. Etc... Absolutely worth the higher price of my stay. As "he" said: "I will be back"."

"Basic room but it has all that you need when you just want a room to sleep in and shower in. There was a mini bar fridge, tv, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, kettle, tv, all the basics. Bar and restaurant down stairs. Location is great, shops and restaurants on your doorstep, short walk to the night markets. A few more blocks but easy walk to the botanical gardens. Lovely staff"

"This would have to be one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in by way of price, location and amenities. I was a solo traveller in a studio room. It was spotlessly clean, very spacious and had a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and cutlery and crockery to be self sufficient. And all located directly opposite the magnificent botanical gardens and the river, the art gallery and a short walk to the main restaurant precint, riverside market and main CBD. And a little balcony as well. The price is so affordable, there is a restaurant on site and i was able to store my luggage until i could check in. Would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"OK place to stay but could do much better Pros: fantastic location; comfortable size room Cons: weird collection of TV channels but missing many basics including several TVNZ & no sports channels; TV remote didn’t work (but desk person fixed after I went down); missing a few basics eg tissues; charged $20per night to park on open & insecure vacant lot adjoining the building - website was ambiguous about this charge when booking"

"Great location, friendly staff, ale house/restaurant on site which was great, we had a ranch slider that went to know where though and would’ve been good if it went out to a patio area with chairs, would be easy enough to do and would’ve really improve those rooms"

"Location was good for walking to town, restaurants and attractions. Easy walk from intercity bus depot. Nice large room with queen bed (rather firm). Tv offered chrome cast but we could not work out how to use it 🙄. The kitchenette had everything needed. The bathroom was nice and large with a washer & dryer."
