"Lovely quiet property with friendly staff who were happy to book restaurants taxis etc. Pool was very small & really only suitable as a plunge rather than a swim. Breakfast was well presented with a good variety of products. The feature I was not happy with was checking in at an alternative guest house but no directions given on where it was. We were advised it was not safe to walk after dark necessitating taxi use. Plettenberg Bay has lovely beaches which are great to stroll along."

"I stayed at this guest house back in 1999 and returned this year. It is such a nice place! They have a talking parrot and you can feed the birds on the back deck. We stayed in a very nice cottage on the property with access to the pool. It was lovely !!! I highly recommend!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Serenity Retreat. We are a family of 5 with relatively little children, so it was an extremely large estate, actually suitable for 9, with an equipped kitchen (no dishwasher). The children loved their bunk beds and the owners' dog. The owner was very kind, friendly and helpful. The area is very nice with a lot of opportunities for hiking."

"I booked 1 night at this property for a spontaneous trip to see Lee Cole perform, so I booked the night before I left. I got to the property and they showed me a room, only to tell me that someone booked the entire place and that - that room was meant to be mine but now isn't. I was upset that no one contacted me that morning to inform me. I was then given a full refund and I left. I am actually so glad that I never stayed there - a blessing in disguise.
