The hotel is fine in every aspect apart from the squeaky heating pump! It's in quite an industrial/office area but the 17 tram (about 150 meters away) will take you right into Rijswijk and Central Dern Haag.
Probably the best hotel bed I have ever slept in.
The staff at Bastion are very friendly and helpful!
Staying at Bastion Hotel was fine, the room was nice and clean, I enjoyed morning coffee thanks to the Nespresso machine, which I found there :) The only thing that disappointed me was that I mentioned during reservation, that I need a room with the king size bed (travelling with kids I find it more comfortable), but my room had a two 1-person beds, and we were too tired to ask for a change
The hotel was up to expectations. It was mainly quiet, clean, and well-staffed.
I arrived at the property at 10pm, and was welcomed by the assistant manager (Samyr), who offered me some drinks and snacks to stay warm. A hospital environment.
Thank you.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Check in was good but after this things went downhill.
The room was very noisy ,it sounds like a fan working on the top of your head ,and the next day the alarm gone of at 2.30 in the night time ,so I stayed 2 night ,it was a nightmare, although I have spoken to the receptionist.

This is perhaps a 2 star hotel. Staff were very good and friendly. We were not made aware that the restaurant was closed Friday thru Sunday. I wanted to do a fun night with my 84 year old sister. This really did not make the experience fun. Closed restaurant was almost 3/4 of a meter away difficult for a person using a walker.
Waiting 20 min before someone vould help me. The same next day. To order food we waited 45 min.

Not going to return
Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Chair was too dirty (stained) to sit on. Open shower got everything wet. Towel racks at 6 ft-plus height, only helpful for tall people. No desk space to work at. Tiny TV. Bathroom freezing cold.
On plus side: good breakfast, friendly staff, gated parking.
