Very enjoyable late May stay at The Old New Inn

"Enjoyed a lovely two nights - room was great and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and polite. Free entrance to the model village was a bonus. The Dyson cool air fan in the room was a surprise and proved essential given that it was a heatwave during our stay - it made for comfortable and relaxing nights. "

"This is the perfect location to explore Burton-on-the-Water as you are right in the center of town. Check-in was easy and so was parking. The staff are very friendly and the gentleman that makes the drinks has a great sense of humor. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable although the location of our room was very noisy as it is right where all the deliveries occur for the hotel so we could hear vans driving on the gravel and opening doors during the night (Room 10). I would stay here again but would request not to be in this room as our friends were upstairs and said it was quiet."

Cotswolds gem

"Our stay at the Lansdowne was wonderful- Corrine and Casey couldn’t have been more lovely and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious and the room was very comfortable, although a tad small for two of us. The building was built mid-1800’s and there is no lift — if you have mobility issues request a ground floor room. "

Lovely stay in the Cotswolds

"We enjoyed our stay, and Clive and Wendy made us feel very welcome. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. The room was a little warm during an unusually hot June week, but we didn’t expect air-conditioning at our accommodations in this area. Overall, we loved our visit to this beautiful town!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Coombe House. The house is very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. And the location was perfect… But what really made the difference was the host and owner, David. From the time of our arrival to our departure we felt more like we were visiting a friend rather than staying at an inn. David knows how to be personal without seeming intrusive and we really enjoyed talking with him. Coombe House is a nice hub for visiting the Cotswold region and David is really a nice person to share some time with. Thank you very much David!"

"The hotel was located right on the Main Street and o we looked the river, that’s fabulous. The room was nice BUT NO A/C and our days and nights were in the 80s! The breakfast was lovely and a full English breakfast. They only have 4 parking spots, so beware! Parking every 90 mins was tricky. But after 6pm, shoppes closed. Must move car 8am! So, travel by train, then do the hiking. It worked out and we have a fabulous time"
