"The hotel is in a great central location with the colleges and the river within easy walking distance. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a hugely enjoyable stay."
"Very convenient location to visit Cambridge. Small room with basic furniture but clean. Breakfast offered several options and staff was very kind. My room was in a concrete block so I missed the atmosphere of living in one of the historical buildings. However, the room was facing one of the inner courtyards and was silent at night. Ensuite bathroom was really very very tiny. Overall, a pleasant experience - well recommended."

10/10 Excellent
"My stay at Clayton Hotel Cambridge was excellent. It’s a great hotel with an attractive rate, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cambridge. The location is perfect—right in front of the railway station."
"All was good except barman would rather chat to customers rather than serve customers. Then when he eventuality got round to serving you
He gets it wrong because he is still having a conversation with last customer otherwise very good "

"I love this place! It’s beautifully peaceful, but for one night when they had a wedding with music well past 23:00. Still, worth it to stay here right by the water. They have the best views I’ve found in Cambridge. The high tea offering sadly is only a teapot with a tea bag (which makes the American high tea I’ve experienced far better!) but the sandwiches and pastries are certainly tasty."
Enjoy the student vibe when you visit University of Cambridge during your travels in Cambridge. Stroll along the area's riverfront or experience its fascinating museums.
