"The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. The rooms are very dated, and the chairs in our room were covered in dust. The room also felt extremely humid and uncomfortable; everything felt damp, and I felt sticky throughout the stay. Lighting was minimal, making the room feel even more outdated. To make matters worse, the fire alarm went off around midnight, and there was no explanation provided afterward. While the staff was great, the condition and comfort of the hotel would make me hesitant to stay here again."

"The cleaning staff was very kind and efficient. The servers at the pool restaurant were very responsive and helpful. We waited for a long time to be served at the breakfast restaurant, and the buffet was very expensive. The one gentleman preparing the omelettes was really talented, but he was alone with a very long line and no support. I recommend they create a self-serve waffle, stand for guests to make their waffles on their own rather than having to wait in line."

"Friendly staff, nice accommodations, but had difficulty with maid service.. room was only cleaned very late in the evening and dirty towels were left in bathroom. Had to go to front desk for clean towels one afternoon so we could shower for dinner. Body wash dispenser in shower was completely out and we had to use the same 2 glasses provided the whole 5 days we were there. Floor didn’t seem to be cleaned of sand and dirt the first 3 days, but after bringing it to attention of cleaning supervisor, it was cleaned the next day. TV in our room did not connect to WiFi and it took several days and numerous staff to look at it , but finally got it connected. Also.. lighted mirror in bathroom did not work, but we never mentioned it to housekeeping. Pool area was very small with only 6-7 lounge chairs. Hotel is not on beachside… as it appears in their photos, but is across the street. You can access the beach by crossing the street (w/o a crosswalk) and walk down a very long narrow dirt path to the beach. I will have to say all staff were very nice and tried their best to make our stay nice. About 10 min walk to Coligny Beach and shopping.👍"

"We booked this property at the last minute after another trip had to be abandoned due to flight cancellations. We weren't sure what to expect at the Sonesta as it was our first time. It surpassed all expectations. The property is conveniently located with easy beach and Shipyard community access. It offered a number of other amenities and never felt overly busy or mobbed, even in the pool and bar areas. The property is freshly renovated and the rooms are clean and spacious. Finally, the service was excellent. The staff took pride in ensuring our stay was a great experience. I would book again without hesitation."

"1st room we checked in the AC quit working at night. Reported it next day and they sent maintenance to check. Their response... like we didnt know how to use controls..I reset it on wall give it a couple hours to see if it's working. It didn't work all night we said. I waited still 73 she set on 65. Finally I went back to lobby and requested another room. They gave us another room. We lost basically one night with no sleep.. We always stay here but seems like it's getting run down."
