"Usually, this is our hotel of choice when we are staying in La Quinta. On this visit, the water temperature of the shower and bathroom sinks would not get warm or hot, only cold water no matter how long we let the water run. It didn’t even reach lukewarm. This hotel is usually consistent with a five star rating from us but not this time. We contacted the property manager for this issue. We are hoping this issue gets resolved because we like this hotel overall."

"Check in was a little tricky. When you arrive, you check in via text. The person receiving the text is not on site. You have to wait for the on site staff to receive a message from whoever has the contact phone. The gentleman who was on site that weekend was very helpful."

"Excellent relaxing weekend compliments to chef for breakfast and dinner. Poolside bar was casual and friendly. Tennis courts need some love but newly surfaced paddle ball courts. The lap pool was my favorite way to cool off but we swam in four pools during our stay. Room dated yet beds, sheets, towels and bath all excellent. Everything was clean. All staff from grounds crew, pool and tennis , bar, restaurant, front desk friendly and engaging. We even enjoyed a couple old time games shuffle board and horse shoes."

"This lodge is in a beautiful location with expansive views of the mountains around Julian, CA. The room was large with a pleasant bathroom with skylight. There is air conditioning in every guest room. The large living room has a TV (so do the rooms) as well as a billiard table. The kitchen was spacious and the hosts provided eggs, bread, milk, bananas, and ramen soup bowls for the guests. The lodge is small with only a few rooms so it is quiet and allows each guest to interact with the others as they wish. I would definitely stay here again."
