"Room very spacious and comfortable, could do with a wardrobe. Bed comfortable, pillows a little too soft but could be just preference. Ensuite good but lacking shelf space for toiletries. Breakfast was average and booked in for evening meal which was disappointing"

"Really friendly staff, and everything you need for a few nights' visit. We were warned on arrival about possible noise from the liver entertainment, but this was really top quality and didn't go on excessively late. The building is full of character, as are the staff, which is nice. We weren't expecting to get breakfast, but got a takeaway breakfast bag every day with porridge, pasties, flapjack, fruit and juice, which was an unexpected but pleasant touch."

"We've found a gem! Great place to stay if you fancy peace and quiet, yet a stones throw from the coast and villages of North Norfolk. Our hosts, Tim and Robbie could not be better, such comfy rooms and bed and excellent food and service. We're planning on returning very soon. A great stay."

"Generally very good, however there was a few disappointing things such as the bed wasn't particularly comfortable, the room was a bit small and tired, the black pudding at breakfast wasn't cooked properly (it was like rubber), also olive oil and balsamic should not be pre-mixed let people adjust the ratio to their taste. The staff were very good and the location is very good."

"Beautiful hotel in a lovely location, nothing negative really VIEWS next to a national trust venue View out of the bedroom overlooked the NT see images BAR But if you like to relax in the bar in the evening, they close the bar around 9.30, which could be an issue. My partner and i, bought a bottle of wine with us and sat outside until it got too cold and we retired to our room. FOOD For this reason we dod not eat our evening mael at the hotel, however we had breakfast and that was superb, quality ingredients all the way, which made us realise we had eaten elsewhere and the food in the evening would have been much better at the hotel All in all a fantastic stay PARKING Car park is small so parking is tight if you are arriving later, we arrived around 7pm and only just got into the car park,while people are just eating there or in the pub area. Just something to be aware of"
