Combate Beach is divided into two distinctive, equally beautiful crescents of sand, split in the middle by Punta Aguila. The significant length of the beach and its two-part shape mean that you can always find a spot of sand that suits your needs. Choose between the charming, developed northern beach, which features restaurants, resorts and boats bobbing in the water, or the quieter southern side, which offers uninterrupted views of Bahía Salinas and the Morillos Peninsula.

The Cabo Rojo Lighthouse, also known as “Faro de Los Morrillos,” is a striking landmark in one of the most spectacular parts of the Cabo Rojo region of Puerto Rico. The working lighthouse stands on dramatic cliffs at the southwestern tip of the island, still guiding ships around the rocks. Playa Sucia translates to “dirty beach” but the name is entirely misleading. This secluded cove beach, also known as La Playuela, is one of the most pristine and beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. Make the journey down to the southwestern tip of the island to find this classically Caribbean destination, where aquamarine waters roll gently across a curve of fine white sand.

Experience the heart of life in Mayagüez at Plaza de Colon, a charming public square in the city center. The plaza is one of the sightseeing and cultural focal points in Mayagüez, but it is also a destination in its own right. Take a seat beneath one of the trees that line the edges of the park and enjoy the atmosphere of this welcoming social space.
