Temple of Buddha. To be honest, I can't remember the exact place I took this and would love some help. It is close to the Terracotta Warrior museum.
Temple of Heaven
The Temple of Heaven Park is located in the Chongwen District, Beijing. Originally, this was the place where emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) and Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911) held the Heaven Worship Ceremony. It is the largest and most representative existing masterpiece among China's ancient sacrificial buildings.
Nothing unusual about the photograph except ........ no crowds of people! A freezing cold day in January 2013 resulting in very few tourists so early in the morning. So, top tip go early morning in January to avoid the crowds, but wear your thermals! But ..... 10 mins after this photo we were besieged by hordes of Mongolian teenagers on a trip, all wanting group photos and all claiming to be "daughters of Genghis Khan". Bizarre, but then so is the myth that you can see the Great Wall from space! #china #greatwall
