"We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. It was our first experience at Sri Lanka. The location of Villa Tara at Hikkaduwa city is optimal - in jungle forest but in ten minutes from the beach also.
Property is in fine condition and professionally managed. You will be provided with a top quality guest service. Also you feel yourself like living in jungles absolutely alone as villa is not crowded and the staff appears only when needed.....
Full breakfast is served at the villa pool area and it is...
"We have just returned from a two week stay at this little paradise and can honestly say we loved every second. The villa has everything that you could need, it is safe, well designed, comfortable and clean with a gorgeous outside area that backs directly onto an unspoilt quiet part of the beach. WiFi and air conditioning are excellent. The team that work at the villa are exceptional. Kind, genuine and welcoming, they make Taru Villa 906 what it is. Anthony, Withana and Wasana took the greatest...
"Great location. It's a great beach that almost feels like a private beach. very spacious condos, plenty of space for the entire family. Full kitchen. 5 minutes drive to Galle town."
"God beliggenhed. Dog er stranden ikke egnet til badning. Mere en strand for surfing. Hotellet er standard. Fin morgenmad. Personalet er høflig og hjælpsom. Men nabo hotellet spiller høj tecno musik fra middag til ud på natten. Det er nærmest umuligt at få en ordentlig nattesøvn

"Great stay! Very reasonable price so I cannot complain. King bed room on 2nd floor. Right on the beach and property has a pool (I did not use). Wifi is not strong. On the last night, the AC in my room kept saying “EC” and not working. I would’ve told staff if I had noticed it before late in the evening on my last night. Also, did not appear to be hot water in my room, but it’s a very hot climate so the cool water was nice. Did not eat at the restaurant as other options nearby were less costly. "

"I loved the suite Lanka its right on the beach, the staff couldnt be more helpful, the food was lovely and very reasonably priced and the room and balcony was huge.l would recommend this hotel to anybody. "
"We had an amazing time at Riff, nothing bad to say about the place. It was extremely comfortable with great service. A fab pool and direct access to the beach. The food was delicious in both the downstairs restaurant and the rooftop restaurant - especially the grilled seafood (lobster and prawns!) and the a la carte breakfast was fantastic. We loved having drinks on the rooftop at sunset every evening, with great views and live music. Felt very spoilt! "
"Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel is located right on the beach, the ocean is just a step away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The restaurant is open for limited time frames but room service is available throughout the day. Loved the view from our room, to get the sea view you have to book premium sea view. Comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was courteous and helpful. The Wi-Fi was spotty especially during peak usage but the view, the sea, sun and sand make up for it. Food service maybe slow at peak times but you need to understand that food is made to order and NOT premade. Breakfast is a delicious spread of Sri Lankan and Western dishes, with a good selection of breads, fruits and juices. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel."

"We wanted a relaxing and peaceful holiday with a pool and view and good service. This hotel didn’t disappoint us.
There are only six rooms so the service was personal and exceptional.
The hotel is located at the quieter end of the Hikkadawa stretch of beach which suited us. The livelier bars and hotels were only a short walk away too.
There are buses every five minutes just outside that took us to the Tsunami museum one day and Galle Fort another for about 50p each, each way. Great fun and very easy to do.
The hotel chef was eager to please and show off his skills and we loved the food there. Some meals had to be ordered in advance and some took a while to come as they are all freshly cooked to order. No mass menu from freezer to microwave here!
We can highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an authentic Sri Lankan service and not a big 5* chain that could be anywhere in the world. "
"It's an old hotel. 50 yrs. So it's tired and needs a refurbish. Rooms are OK, but bathroom leaks water from the shower leaving puddles of water in the bathroom. Could smell urine in room 205 when using the shower so probably linked to the drainage system. Pool needs redone as several broken tiles and there were 3 people I saw who cut themselves including a member of staff and my daughter.
Restaurant and bar is very good, great choice and food options are lovely.
Staff are excellent and very friendly.
Opposite a supermarket which is handy.
So overall a really nice hotel, pretty basic but has great potential with a bit of investment. "
