Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. "Seven was very well located on the top of the cliff overlooking the pier and close to the cliff lift. It had a private car park at the back. Check in was fine and the staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. Our room had plenty of hanging space but no drawers or useful shelves for clothes. Tea and coffee provided. My only comment would be the bathroom door opened through the walk in shower which was a bit odd, if someone was in the shower you couldn't really walk in to the bathroom, and the grout/tiles round the base were looking a bit tired and stained. Other than that I really can't fault it. We ate in Aurum in the evening which is a lovely restaurant, maybe a touch expensive for what it was but prices in the south are maybe a bit more than the north of England anyway. The food was good and we had a tasty breakfast there the next day. We would definitely stay there again if we were in Southend area"

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Ashford International Hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the facilities were excellent. The hotel was very clean throughout, which made the stay even more comfortable. I especially loved relaxing in the foyer — it created such a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely stay there again.!"

"Ample on-site parking, Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Great on-site bar and restaurant, with a good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices. Room serviced every day, great Wi-Fi. Great location, close to the M25, Thurrock Retail Park, Lakeside Shopping Centre and Chafford Hundred train station. My hotel of choice when visiting this area. Highly recommended."
