This was a great place to stay! The beds are comfortable and there’s a nice restaurant and bar downstairs. A bunch of musicians came in with fiddles, guitars and drums. They entertained us with songs and stories in the evening.

This is a good place to stay, clean, comfortable, very friendly and attentive staff and good food. I booked 4 rooms for my family who were traveling to attend my daughters wedding, all concerned were very handy with their stay. You are well looked after at this hotel.

The hotel has a lot of character, although it was a bit tired is some ways. Breakfast was generous and served right at the time we had preordered it.

We loved this family run hotel! Leo and Mary Ellen were welcoming and helpful, including getting us a taxi to the ferry early in the morning. We ate dinner here one night and it was excellent- local lamb chops and steak pie and chips. I’d highly recommend Manor House if you want a smaller hotel with personal service. We stayed in the main building .

I’ve never been greeted better than this! A clean, well kept lovely local place to get to when You’ve been travelling. Quiet, enjoyed opening the windows to hear the birds. The food is top notch, in a local atmosphere (unlike chain places to stay) everyone who works there is more than accommodating, helpful and friendly. As a female solo traveller, highly recommend. Easily located walking distance from train station. Easily walking distance to attractions. Accommodated me to get to ferry. I would go again if I ever get back there.

The place is undergoing some major bedroom renovations and although our newly renovated bedroom was basic it was very clean with a new ensuite which had a very powerful shower. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. The bar area is used by locals who were very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to visit. The breakfast is cooked to order from fresh quality produce. Great location, very easy and plentiful parking, good value for money
